Elbow Strike (Ex)

Requires: Barbarian 1, Urban Mien
Benefit: Once per round, when performing a full attack action, you can activate Elbow Strike as a free action to gain a bonus unarmed strike at your highest attack bonus. This attack does not provoke attacks of opportunity. The to-hit bonus of Elbow Strike is identical to that of your main-hand weapon, including any enhancement bonuses, feat bonuses, etc. The damage that Elbow Strike deals is 1 point of base weapon damage + CHA modifier, plus any enhancement bonuses or feat bonuses your main weapon normally adds to damage. However, you do not add your STR or CON modifiers to this damage.
Elbow Strike uses the same critical hit chance and multiplier as your wielded weapon. Thus, if you are wielding a Longsword, it critically threatens on an 18-20 and deals double damage (x2) upon confirming that crit, just like the longsword. Furthermore, if you have any feats, magic weapon properties, or other abilities that alter your equipped weapon's critical range or multiplier, they also apply to Elbow Strike's critical range and multiplier.
Elbow Strike deals bludgeoning (physical, common) damage and belongs to the "Close" weapon group.
The bonus attack granted by Elbow Strike stacks with any other sources of bonus attacks (i.e. is in addition to), granted by such effects as Haste spells, and the like.

Progression:

  • 11th Level: The base weapon damage of Elbow Strike increases by 1 (to 2), and you may now add your STR modifier to the damage.
  • 21st Level: The base weapon damage of Elbow Strike increases by 1 (to 3), and you may now add your CON modifier to the damage.
  • 31st Level: Elbow Strike's damage is now identical to your equipped weapon damage, including the weapon's enhancement bonus, magic properties, feats, or other abilities you normally add to your weapon's damage, but you may also add your CHA modifier. (Improved from base weapon damage of 3.)
