You seek out an old master, who trains you in the ways of using an unusual weapon, providing you with a great new tool for your arsenal.

Ability Type: Ex

Prerequisites: Rogue 11

Benefit: The rogue has sought out specialized weapon training. They gain one Exotic Weapon Proficiency that may be used with any one- or two-handed exotic weapon, except for weapons with the Massive quality. The rogue has learned how to use sneak attack with this weapon.

Note that rogues with the "Ruthless Rogue" path can already deal sneak attack damage with any weapon they are proficient with (including Massive weapons, if they want). In their case, this talent really only provides an Exotic Weapon Proficiency, and improves the base damage of a few of those weapons (see below).

In addition, in the hands of a rogue with this talent, the Swordbreaker Dagger, Sai, Siangham or Slightwhip each deal 1d6 base weapon damage, instead of 1d4, assuming they choose one of these weapons with the bonus feat granted by this talent. The 1d6 base damage applies whether the rogue is a size medium or size small race.

Rogues with the "Artful Rogue" path deal 1d10 base weapon damage with these weapons (instead of 1d6), regardless of their character's size.

Special: This talent may be taken more than once. Each time it is taken, a different exotic weapon can be selected.
