While you can purchase a higher level ''rod of restoration'', the only benefit it provides is a higher save DCSince the effects of the spell are harmless (and quite beneficial), almost no creature would ever choose to attempt to resist its effects.
Creatures that have spell resistance make a {{Hi|WILL save}} against this effect, with a save {{Hi|DC based on the rod's caster level}}, listed on the table belowSuccess on the save means that the spell has no effect on that creature.  Failure means the spell affects them normally.

Rod of Restoration

Rod of Restoration

CL 7 Magic Rod • Weak Conjuration
Cost: 22,500 gp
Weight: 1 lbs.

A rod of restoration appears to be made of a single piece of white metal, smooth and cylindrical of shape. It is just over 21 inches long, and approximately 1 inch in diameter. At the ends, there are golden caps in the shape of disks, their edges ridged. On the tops of each cap are sculpted images of birds in flight.

Wielders of this rod can utter a command word as a standard action to cast a Restoration spell, using up one charge from the rod.

The rod issues forth a burst of positive energy on an adjacent target, but instead of dealing damage or repairing it, the energy is directed at the target's aura, repairing the shape of how it interacts with the universe. This spell can be used to provide any one of the following effects:

Creatures that have spell resistance make a WILL save against this effect, with a save DC based on the rod's caster level, listed on the table below. Success on the save means that the spell has no effect on that creature. Failure means the spell affects them normally.

You can purchase this rod at a higher creator level than the minimum required to cast the spell. Doing so increases the potency of the spell as described above, but also increases the cost, as follows:
