Smasher (Ex)

Requires: Barbarian 1
Benefit: Once per round as a swift action, you can activate Smasher to make a Sunder combat maneuver check against an enemy creature's equipment, a trap, or an unattended object. If your weapon does not have the Sunder weapon quality, you cannot affect unattended objects made from, or reinforced with, metal or stone (though traps, regardless of their construction, can always be sundered, even without the Sunder quality).
This rage power does not count as having used a combat maneuver during your turn, meaning you can still perform a different combat maneuver as normal, if you wish. However, you cannot perform a Sunder during the same round in which Smasher is used.

Progression:

  • 11th Level: If you use Smasher to successfully perform a sunder maneuver against an enemy creature, you also add either your CHA modifier or WIS modifier (whichever is greater) to the damage inflicted by the combat maneuver. If you are targeting a trap or an unattended object, this benefit has no effect.
  • 21st Level: If the sunder attempt you make with Smasher is successful, the amount of siege damage you inflict is always treated as having exceeded the target's Maneuver defense or Sunder DC by 5 or more, even if it did not. (Generally, this means the siege damage you inflict is doubled.)
  • 31st Level: If you use Smasher to successfully perform a sunder maneuver against an enemy creature, you also add your STR modifier to the damage inflicted by the combat maneuver. If you are targeting an unattended object, this benefit has no effect.
