Violent Revel (Ex)

Requires: Barbarian 1
Benefit: Once per round as a free action, you can activate Violent Revel. Violent Revel causes your next attack, assuming it is made before the start of your next turn, to provoke attacks of opportunity from each enemy who can reach you (including your target). If the enemies have an attack of opportunity available, and choose to make these attacks of opportunity against you due to this attack, they resolve them as normal. You then perform your attack against your target. If the attack hits, you roll your weapon's damage, and apply that damage to your target and each other enemy that made an attack of opportunity against you as a result of using this ability, regardless of whether their attacks hit or missed. You only need to roll your to-hit against your target; the other creatures that made attacks of opportunity against you are automatically hit if your attack hits your target. If you miss your target, you deal no damage to anyone from this rage power.

Enemies are only included in the damaging effects of Violent Revel if they made an attack of opportunity against you as a result of the attack you declared using this rage power. That is, any other attacks of opportunity you may have incurred this round, such as from movement, do not count.

Progression:

  • 11th Level: For each enemy that makes an attack of opportunity against you because you declared an attack with Violent Revel (hit or miss) grants you a +1 bonus to-hit for the attack against your target, and +2 base weapon damage to the damage you inflict to your target and each affected enemy (since you only roll the damage once).
  • 21st Level: When you activate Violent Revel, you also gain a +2 dodge bonus to AC versus attacks of opportunity until the start of your next turn.
  • 31st Level: Every attack of opportunity made against you that is provoked as a result of Violent Revel is applied as a bonus to each of your attacks before the start of your next turn.
